About the HPE0-G04 exam
HPE0-G04 checks that an administrator can install, configure and run HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software. Morpheus is HPE's platform for managing workloads across private and public clouds. Its objectives cover the appliance, Infrastructure Groups, role-based access control (RBAC), custom inputs, policies, provisioning, tenants, code repositories, Blueprints, monitoring, catalog items and service plans. HPE expects hands-on experience with Morpheus operations. Passing earns the HPE Advanced Product Certified - HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software Administrator certification.
Each objective gets a similar share of questions in the PlanetCert practice test, so no area can be skipped. Tenancy and code repository questions are slightly more frequent, with managed service provider subtenants and Morpheus File Templates. The explanations help where two settings sound alike, such as a policy and a service plan, or a layout and a node type. Study Mode suits the provisioning objectives, and Brainy AI Assistant can explain which permission a role needs or how an option list fills a custom input.

How to prepare for HPE0-G04
- 1
Stand up a lab appliance
Install Morpheus on a single test appliance, then run morpheus-ctl status, reconfigure and tail. Seeing the services and their logs makes the installation and maintenance objective concrete.
- 2
Build one stack from scratch
Add a cloud to a group, then create a custom instance type with a layout, a node type and a virtual image. Provision it once by hand, then publish it as a catalog item.
- 3
Test roles with a second user
Create a role with limited feature permissions and group access, then sign in as a user who holds it. Note which menus and clouds disappear, and why.
- 4
Model a provider with subtenants
Set up two subtenants as a managed service provider (MSP) would, and decide what the master tenant shares with each one. Tenancy has slightly more questions than other objectives in the PlanetCert practice test.
- 5
Mix Study and Timed runs
Work through the HPE0-G04 practice test in Study Mode one objective at a time, then take a full run in Timed Mode. Ask Brainy AI Assistant to explain any permission or policy setting that was missed.
